Keg FAQ's

How do I tap a keg?

To tap a keg, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure the keg is properly chilled.
  2. Remove the cap or seal from the top of the keg.
  3. Attach the tap or coupler to the keg by aligning the notches and twisting it clockwise until it is securely in place.
  4. Open the tap by pulling the handle or lever forward.
  5. Allow the beer to flow into your glass or container.

How long does a keg of beer last?

The shelf life of a keg of beer can vary depending on several factors, including the type of beer and how it is stored. In general, an unopened keg of beer can last for several months if kept refrigerated. Once a keg is tapped, it is best to consume the beer within a few weeks to ensure optimal freshness and taste.

For the best beer...

To prevent foamy beer, keep keg stored at fridge temperature for at least 12 hours before tapping.

It's normal for hazy beer to contain some sediment. Agitate keg by tilting it a few times before tapping to reduce excess sediment in first pours.
